FRUIT BASKET(2001)
Fruits Basket is the story of a young high-school girl, Honda Tohru. Having lost her mother in a car accident, she has come to live alone in a tent in the forest near her school. Never a quiitter, she strives to honor her mother's memory and work hard to do the best she can with her life. One day, she happens across a house in the woods, not far from her makeshift abode. The residents, Sohma Yuki and his cousin Shigure, aren't total strangers. Sohma is the coolest guy at Tohru's school! Will the chance encounter lead to new friendships, and perhaps, a new romance?
This anime is really interesting (my friend's opinion)...yup..for a person that really crazy about zodiac..but for me it really about friendship and trust. From the title i really did'nt expected that this anime is something really different with it..FRUIT BASKET..erm..maybe zodiac just like a variety of fruit..(only my 2 cents)

HIKARU NO GO (2001)
Shindoh Hikaru, a 6th grader, finds an old go table in the attic of his grandfather's house. He sees some blood stains on the go table, and tries to wipe it off... when a ghost dressed in Heian period clothes pops out, and takes over his body.The ghost happens to be Fujiwara no Sai, a member of the court during the Heian period. Sai was one of the two men who was assigned as the go tutor to the emperor. The other tutor was envious of Sai, and challenged him to a go match -- whoever wins gets to stay as the court's go master. Sai's opponent cheats during the match, and before Sai could say anything about it, the opponent accused Sai of cheating. Sai was banished from the court, and because of regret and anger, he committed suicide. But as with all unrepented souls, Sai was unable to leave the material world... until he is able to master go, and get one step closer to "kami no itte," or god's hand.
this anime was about traditional games known as "go". Hikaru never has an intention to play this game but since he alway let Sai takes over his body to play "go" against amongst the best player, he decide to win that game by his own ability. The point is how they help each other in this game to fulfil their own desire. |

FULL METAL ALCHEMIST
In the world in which the adventure takes place there exists a force called alchemy. Those who have the capability to use it can alchemize anything they want into something else. Though alchemy can do unimaginable things, there are two laws that govern it. The first being that you can only produce something with the exact same mass as the materials that you put in, this is called equivalent trade. The other law is that you absolutely cannot alchemize anything into a human. When brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric lose their mother at an early age they break the second taboo and try to bring her back to life. For this, Alphonse loses his entire body and gets his soul encased in a suit of armor. Edward loses an arm and a leg. After they recover, they begin a quest to regain their bodies by finding the legendary philosopher's stone, a device that has the ability to bypass the laws of alchemy and bestow upon the user limitless power.
i like this anime, and it really a hottest anime amongst my classmate since it include chemistry term. I was bought this anime in DVD version, more easily to keep it. Then, i bought this anime's movie but unfortunately one of the vcd is broke. I still not go to the vcd shop to change it since im very busy right now. This anime teach me about how to life with our sibling. Respect and love. Character development is excellent. Drawing is top notch and the music is superb. But one thing to keep in mind is that the anime storyline diverts from the actual manga storyline. The Full Metal Alchemist manga story is actually still in progress. The anime concludes abruptly after 51 episodes, and is followed up with a movie title 'The Conqueror of Shambala'.

GENSOMADEN SAIYUKI(1997)
There was a time on a peaceful land where people and supernatural creatures can coexist in harmony. However, because of a calamity, these supernatural creatures began to run wild and wreak havoc. The reason behind the accident is actually caused by the revival process of a large mystical creature, King of Bull (Gyumaou).The Heaven (Tenkai) which looked at the grieve situation summons a high rank monk (Genjou Sanzo) and assigns him to go to the west to stop the revival process of Gyumaou. The Heaven also assigns Son Goku, Sha Gojyo, and Cho Hakkai to join Genjou Sanzo to assist his mission.The second installment of Saiyuki anime is also based on a well known story in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan about a real journey of one Buddhist monk (AD 629) who travelled from China to India.
this manga had a lot of series..reload..gunlock..requiem..The first anime series was fifty episodes long and was followed by Saiyuki Reload, which in turn was followed by Saiyuki Reload Gunlock..then a movie of saiyuki requiem release..it been a while since the last time i watch this anime..watching for a new series release..i bought this anime at S&M complex..i like to watch it since i do enjoy the story of 'journey to the west'..90% same but more fun since it was an anime..a lot of trick in anime..

This anime i only watch it twice since i'm watch it from my friend's dvd player..i will buy it once i already upgrade my computer with DVD's player..quite trouble if just borrowing others person property..if im not mistaken you can see this 2 person act again in "onegai twin"

MIDORI NO HIBI(2004)
Midori no Hibi is a cute little manga that has run in Shonen Sunday since 2002. It is a story about Sawamura Senji, feared throught the school. He is know to be in fights often, but what isn't known is he is always doing it to protect comeone. In fact, all he wants from life is simply a girlfriend. However, because of his reputation, everyone is scared of him. Everyone, that is, except for Kasugano Midori, a girl from another school whom has had a crushon Senji for years. Sounds like your average love manga, right? Well, here's when it gets interesting. One day, when Senji wakes up, he is quite surpirsed to find that he has no right hand. In his place, there is none other than Midori! She is just as surprised as him ,yet wastes no time to confess to her love. The stories are hillarious as Senji attempts to hide Midori from others.
1st time i heard this story from my friend i felt a little excited to find it manga..when i went to S&M complex, i found this anime at the cheap price..i really don't remember when i bought it..but i already watch it more than twice, i hope the story is more longer than this..hehehe

SAMURAI DEEPER KYO (2002)
It is 1604, four years after the Battle of Sekigahara, perhaps Japan's greatest civil war. The people try to recover from its aftermath and enjoy the newly attained peace. Amid such times Yuya Shiina, a roughneck girl who earns money by capturing outlaws, mistakes a roaming and peace-loving medicine seller Mibu Kyoshiro for the legendary wanted man "Onime-no-Kyo."
But she soon realizes that she is wrong when she sees that Kyoshiro is just a weakling. Nevertheless, she ends up capturing Kyoshiro anyway -- he is wanted for running off without paying for a meal. As they travel together Kyoshiro tries to help Yuya catch another wanted criminal. In the process Kyoshiro is cornered.
Then he mumbles, "Here he comes," and the color of his eyes turn a deep red. He pulls out his sword which he had never touched before and suddenly, Onime-no-Kyo, the legendary assassin said to have killed one thousand men with this sword, is standing there. Kyoshiro and Kyo: Two spirits in one body. Yuya is looking for a "man with a wound on his back" who killed her older brother. The two head to Edo together.
One after another, samurai come after Onime-no-Kyo. Why do Kyoshiro and Kyo share the same body? Historical figures, such as Tokugawa Ieyasu and Oda Nobunaga, emerge in the story and the mystery of the two souls is gradually resolved.
I bought this anime on 2004, at that time it cost me about RM49.90..right now, maybe more cheaper or still at that price...i love everything about samurai..but never thinking to buy a model of samurai sword..it high is same as me..hehehehe..

DETECTIVE CONAN
Shin'ichi Kudou is a high-school student who is famous for helping the police solve crimes. His almost girlfriend, Ran Mouri, is the captain of the karate club. Ran's father, Kogoro Mouri, is a detective and blames Shin'ichi for his lack of business. One night while Shin'ichi follows someone suspicious in the amusement park Tropical Land, he is given poison by a man in black which was supposed to kill him, but instead shrinks him to the size of a six year old. Under the suggestion of Professor Agasa, he keeps his identity a secret from everyone until he can change back, going under the name Conan Edogawa based from mystery writers Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Ranpo Edogawa.
I already collecting this comic about 4 year..in multiple edition..So far there is no sign of ending..so im patiently waiting..this comic..awesome for me |

LOVE HINA (1998)
i love this anime and manga since it showing a teen's spirit when new love and 'past love' come together in our life..
SYNOPSIS 15 years later, Urashima Keitaro finds himself as a second year ronin, still trying to fulfill the promise he made with his childhood sweetheart. However, he is unable to remember her name. Urashima leaves his parents home due to the fact he has been leeching off of them for two years and hasn't come close to passing the Toudai entrance exams. Urashima Keitaro finds himself heading towards Hinata Inn (Hinatasou), which his grandmother (Hina Baa-san) manages. Keitaro has not seen his grandmother in ages, except for in his dreams (which isn't very pretty). He arrives to the Hinatasou to see that it is a mere desert. After some chaos, he realizes that the Inn has been turned into an "All-Girls Dormitory", filled with chou kawaii (Super Cute) girls. What will happen in this romantic comedy? Will Keitaro ever get into Toudai? Will Keitaro ever remember his childhood sweetheart's name? Will Naru, Mutsumi, Shinobu, Kitsune, Motoko, or Su steal his heart? i already had a full collection of this comic last year..i hope to collect a money and buy the anime for this manga..for a friend who want to read the manga can go to:

This manga was published on 1989 however the quality of manga is quite ok. Don't judge a book by it cover..Honestly, it take me about a year to think either want to collect it or not..but the first episode lead me to another book..and another book..until end..
Synopsis: Ranma Saotome and his father, Genma, show up at the Tendou dojo after a journey to China. There, the two had fallen into cursed springs. Whatever died in those springs is what Ranma and Genma will turn into. Ranma turns into a girl while his father becomes a panda. However the transition only takes place if they come in contact with cold water. And hot water reverses it. But that is only one of Ranma's many problems. His father and Mr. Tendou make a deal that has Ranma and Akane, Mr. Tendo's youngest daughter, both get married so they can take over the family dojo. Until then, they remain engaged and unhappy. |
